On October 14, 2022, the US Department of Defense announced the allocation of a new package of US military assistance to Ukraine in the amount of $ 725 million.Thus, the total amount of US military aid officially allocated to Kiev since the beginning of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine on February 24 has now reached approximately $17.6 billion. The total amount of US military assistance to Ukraine since 2014 has exceeded $20.3 billion.

This is the 23rd presidential package of military assistance to Ukraine under the PDA since August 2021.
The new announced package includes:
- an unnamed number of GMLRS precision guided missiles for HIMARS missile systems;
- 23 thousand artillery shots of 155 mm caliber;
- 500 high-precision artillery shots of 155 mm caliber (apparently M982 Excalibur);
- 5 thousand 155 mm cluster shells of the Remote Anti-Armor Mine (RAAM) remote mining system (with anti-tank mines);
- 5,000 anti-tank weapons (probably disposable hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers of the M136 AT4 and M72 types);
- an unnamed number of aviation anti-radar missiles AGM-88 HARM;
- more than 200 HMMWV vehicles;
- small arms and more than 2 million cartridges for small arms;
- medical property.
Thus, the total number of 155-mm artillery rounds transferred to Ukraine has reached 904 thousand (of which 150 thousand were ordered of new production), high-precision M982 Excalibur 155 mm caliber artillery rounds - 3 thousand, and 155 mm cluster shells of the RAAM remote mining system with anti-tank mines - 7 thousand.
