TSAMTO, October 13. France and Denmark are working on supplying Ukraine with six more CAESAR self-propelled guns. This, as RIA Novosti reports, was stated by French President Emmanuel Macron.
"We are currently working together with Denmark to supply Ukraine with an additional six CAESAR artillery units," Macron told France 2 TV channel. He stressed that Paris would continue to supply Ukraine with weapons so that it "could resist." At the same time, the French leader urged to avoid further escalation of the conflict.
"We are also going to supply (Ukraine – Ed.) radars, air defense systems and missiles," E. Macron added.
Earlier, French media reported that France plans to send Ukraine about 20 Bastion armored personnel carriers, as well as six to 12 CAESAR artillery units, which were previously intended for Denmark.
Paris has already supplied Kiev with 18 self-propelled artillery units CAESAR 155 mm caliber, taking them from the reserve of the ground forces. In September, French media reported that France would also supply Ukraine with 155-mm self-propelled guns TRF1, which are no longer used by the French army, the agency recalls.
