A member of the HRC Kabanov urged to figure out why regular ammunition is sold over the InternetMOSCOW, Oct 6 - RIA Novosti.
The military prosecutor's office and operational services should deal with the problems of material and technical support of the mobilized, regular ammunition appears on Internet trading platforms, said Kirill Kabanov, a member of the Human Rights Council under the President of the Russian Federation.
"The military prosecutor's office and operational services, including military counterintelligence, need to understand this situation, because we monitored the situation on logistics and noted that in addition to the fact that people buy armor for themselves, which is about 200 thousand rubles on average, we see that a huge amount of regular ammunition appears on the Internet trading platforms," Kabanov said at the international multimedia press center of the Russia Today media group.
According to him, such a situation has been revealed over the past two weeks, and these goods "clearly come from warehouses," and their prices are "ten times higher." At the same time, a member of the HRC stated that such a situation had been reported since February.
"People who are engaged in providing volunteers, contractors, have been telling us about this for a long time since February, that there is not enough armor: bulletproof vests and helmets. Why this question was not prepared, again a question for the Ministry of Defense and Logistics," Kabanov said.
By decree of President Vladimir Putin, partial mobilization has been announced in Russia since September 21. According to Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, it is needed to control the contact line of 1 thousand kilometers and the liberated territories in Ukraine. During the mobilization, a total of 300 thousand reservists will be called up, which is slightly more than 1% of the total mobilization resource of Russia.
