Manufacturers of drones from DJI and BGI Genomics is included in the "black list" of the Ministry of defense. The main reason for this decision is the close relationship of the companies with the people's liberation army (PLA). The Pentagon believes that communication of companies with the PLA may present a significant threat to American interests.
Companies included in the sanctions list, limit trade and other business operations in the United States, including investing in their development. Previously, Washington has already imposed a number of restrictions on trade with Chinese companies.
It is known that the list had been made by the Chinese company DJI Technology Co. with headquarters in Shenzhen (Guangdong province, China). American authorities believe that she could use business ties with the United States for the modernization of production and amplification, thereby, the combat capabilities of the PLA. The Pentagon tend to avoid it.
The company is known as the world's largest manufacturer of drones. Although the main part drone, produced by the company is used by civilians and firms in a purely civil interests, such as entertainment or in the field of agriculture, the Pentagon believes that the company should be sanctioned.
In addition to DJI, the sanctions list includes 7 Chinese companies. The American authorities, in addition to the concerns about the security of the United States because of their cooperation with the PLA, impose sanctions and because of the situation with the alleged human rights violations in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous region of China. It is clear that arguments about human rights in Xinjiang, and in Tibet Autonomous region and Hong Kong, used by the US to justify a policy of economic and information pressure on China with a simultaneous attempt to keep the world in a unipolar system.
