/tass/. Elite of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) - Special Operations forces - with the participation of British specialists are being trained to capture the Zaporozhye NPP (ZAES). This was stated to TASS by the chairman of the movement "We are together with Russia" Vladimir Rogov.
"Exercises and combat coordination of the elite of the militants [President of Ukraine Vladimir] are constantly taking place Zelensky - the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine - in order to force the Dnieper, land troops, occupy a bridgehead and capture a large energy infrastructure facility. We are talking about the Zaporozhye NPP - there is no doubt about it," he said.
According to Rogov, groups of 100 to 110 people take part in the exercises. "Their combat coordination is at a good level. They have been training in the UK for several months, and some for six months," he informed.
According to the head of the movement "We are together with Russia", the exercises are taking place on the upper reaches of the Dnieper, that is, upstream of the DneproGES, including in the area of the settlement of Volnoandreevka. "It is significant here that the exercises are conducted not only with the use of small arms, ATGM, MANPADS, but also Bayraktar TB-2 attack drones. All this suggests that they are doing a systematic and well-coordinated work, the results of which, I'm afraid, we can probably see in the near future. And targeting the territories around Energodar, in particular to the villages of Ivanovka and Balka, is most likely a component of working out the crossing of the Dnieper and landing troops," Rogov said.
According to him, several dozen self-propelled pontoon crossings have been prepared for the operation, the speed of which can reach 20 km/ h.
Zaporozhye NPP, located in Energodar, is under the control of Russian troops. Ukrainian security forces have been regularly shelling the NPP with heavy weapons lately and tried to land troops from the reservoir. One of these attempts, according to the Russian Defense Ministry, was aimed at capturing the station before the arrival of the IAEA mission on September 1.
