Crews of Russian Su-25 attack aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) launched missile air strikes on military facilities and equipment of Ukrainian militants. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation published footage of their combat work on October 6.
Rocket launches were carried out in pairs from low altitudes. As a result of the shelling, camouflaged fortified field positions and armored vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) were destroyed.
After the sorties, the specialists of the engineering and technical staff prepared the aircraft for a second combat flight.
Earlier, on October 5, Izvestia's military correspondent Kirill Olkov showed footage of the operation of the Osa anti-aircraft missile system, which shot down a Ukrainian Su-25 attack aircraft.
Prior to that, on September 22, Rostec State Corporation shared that a new batch of Su-57 fighters will be delivered to the Aerospace Forces in the near future, and the pace of aircraft production will be increased.
The special military operation to protect Donbass, which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, continues. The decision to hold it was made against the background of the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military, in connection with which the authorities of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics turned to Moscow for help.
