Parliamentarians are already working on amendments to the Labor Code of the Russian Federation. In particular, compensation measures are being considered for those who may lose their jobs due to conscription. The new recruitment regime of the Russian Armed Forces was announced by President Vladimir Putin on the morning of September 21. A little later, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu announced official data on losses for the entire duration of the SVO — both from the Ukrainian and Russian sides.
Half of the army
The Russian armed forces lost 5,937 people during a special military operation, the head of the military department said. The Defense Minister highly appreciated the work of Russian military medics who save the lives of soldiers.
— Of the total number of wounded, more than 90% returned to service. These are guys who have passed through our hospitals, medical institutions, returned to service and continue to serve," he stressed.
Sergei Shoigu also spoke about the losses of the Ukrainian armed formations, specifying that since the beginning of the SVO they have lost half of the composition.
— At the initial stage, the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to about 201-202 thousand people. During this time, more than 100 thousand of their losses. At the same time, 61,207 people were killed, 49,368 people were wounded," the Defense Minister said.
The Allied forces eliminated more than 2 thousand mercenaries fighting on the side of Ukraine, now there are a little more than 1 thousand foreign soldiers of "luck".
Later that day, at a meeting of the board of the Ministry of Defense, Sergei Shoigu said that recently the losses of the VFU were measured in thousands.
— As a result of fire damage in the last three weeks alone, over a thousand servicemen and 970 enemy weapons have been destroyed. Including 208 tanks, 245 infantry fighting vehicles and 186 other armored vehicles, 15 aircraft and four helicopters," the head of the military department listed.
He said that the Russian army will continue a special military operation in the Donbas and Ukraine until the goals set by the Supreme Commander are fully achieved.
People and industry
President Vladimir Putin announced the beginning of partial mobilization in Russia on the morning of September 21. Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that about 300 thousand people will be called up, explaining that this is necessary primarily to control the long line of contact in Ukraine, as well as the liberated territories.

The Minister also noted that Russia is not even acting against Ukraine during the special operation.
— Here, of course, I cannot but emphasize that today we are fighting not so much with Ukraine, the Ukrainian army, as with the collective West, — said the head of the Defense Ministry.
According to experts, the ground forces will be replenished first of all.
— Reserve servicemen who have the military accounting specialties necessary for the armed forces will be mobilized - tankers, gunners, snipers and so on, — said Oleg Zherdev, founder of the Association of lawyers of law enforcement agencies "Guardia".
He also drew attention to the fact that mobilization is a broad concept that concerns not only people, but also industry.
— I believe that now it is necessary to mobilize industry, — Oleg Zherdev believes. — It is clear that infantry does everything on the ground. But the training is largely provided by rockets, and these are industry, design bureaus, those who contribute some new ideas. Creating conditions for them is mobilization. The industry should work like clockwork. No one should disrupt the state defense order, we should not depend on anything.
Amendments to the Labor Code of the Russian Federation are being prepared, which will affect the protection of the labor rights of citizens who have fallen under partial mobilization, the head of the Federation Council Committee on Social Policy Inna Svyatenko said on Wednesday. She did not rule out fixing in the code measures for compensation from the state for those who may lose their jobs in the future, and fixing labor guarantees in it.
On the minefields

The group of Ensign Zamir Gadzhimuradov defended the positions of Russian troops. Nationalists have repeatedly tried to break through the borders. Having settled down in battle formations, the ensign destroyed these militants with fire from a grenade launcher. When one of Zamir Hajimuradov's colleagues was wounded, he personally carried him from the battlefield to a safe place and gave him first aid. During the day, the ensign's group repulsed several attacks, and the enemy was forced to retreat.
During the shelling, the equipment providing power supply was damaged at the unit's strongpoint. Senior Sergeant Ivan Nevmerzhitsky promptly restored the power grid, returned to his position and continued to fight, during which he personally destroyed the militants' squad. An enemy shell hit one of the cars, and it caught fire. At that moment, the sergeant was nearby. He immediately rushed to help, pulled out two wounded colleagues, moved them to shelter and provided first aid.
