/tass/. The military in the Zaporozhye region planted a kamikaze drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Switchblade with an anti-drone gun, handed over by residents of the region to the army as an aid. This was reported to TASS by the chairman of the movement "We are together with Russia" Vladimir Rogov.
"We have transferred a record amount of aid [to the army] worth about 20 million rubles. For the first time, a significant part was made up of Zaporozhye residents - Energodar, Berdyansk, Melitopol. Dozens of thermal imagers of good range, anti-drone guns, drones were bought. The Switchblade, a kamikaze attack drone, was planted with an anti-drone gun <...>. It flew clearly to destroy an important object, thanks to the gun it was simply planted," he said.
On August 16, Rogov handed over to the Russian military intelligence unit on the line of contact a drone-piercing rifle and 50 quadrocopters purchased with donations from Russians. The transferred drones are designed to conduct aerial reconnaissance at the forefront, as well as to adjust artillery fire. The gun also serves to shoot down similar enemy copters, suppressing the signal between the drone and the control panel.
