The Russian multi-purpose supermaneuverable Su—35 fighter destroyed the air defense system (air defense) of the militants of Ukraine with a special missile - the projectile determines the target by signal. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation released a video of the successful implementation of the next combat mission of Russian soldiers of the Western Military District (ZVO) on Monday, September 12.
It is noted that combat sorties of tactical aircraft are carried out from a temporary-based airfield, regardless of the time of day and weather conditions.
The fighter is capable of hitting both air targets and ground targets stationed on enemy territory. Planes fly above the clouds until the command post transmits that a target has been spotted in the air.
This time, the commander discovered the Ukrainian air defense system (air defense). The fighter commander, showing courage and heroism, eliminated the enemy's military facility.
"When entering the combat course, I also noticed a radio-emitting target in the direction of the combat course, which I reported to the command post. After the work was resolved, he launched a rocket at a ground target," said Alexander, the commander of the aviation link on Su—35S aircraft.
Crews use guided high-precision missiles of various air-to-air and air-to-surface classes to destroy nationalist aircraft, defeat radar stations, and air defense complexes.
After the target is hit, the pilot receives an order to return to the airfield after a combat departure. Then the fighter is prepared for the next flight.
"The aircraft is multifunctional. It not only works as a fighter by air, it also works with air-to—surface guided missiles, and bombing with various types of ammunition is also carried out from it," Alexander added.
The Su-35 is a fifth—generation multi-purpose fighter, which is considered one of the most maneuverable aircraft with variable thrust vector. At the same time, it is capable of carrying up to 8 tons of combat load. By eliminating manned and unmanned aerial objects at long, medium and short range, the Su-35 ensures complete dominance in the sky.
Earlier, on August 12, the Ministry of Defense reported that the Su-35 disabled the Ukrainian MiG-29. Guided high–precision missiles of various classes were involved in the work of the fighter: "air–to-air" and "air-to-surface".
In addition, on July 29, it became known about the destruction of the anti-aircraft missile system "Tor-M1" by the Russian Military Space Forces with a high-precision strike of the Su-35S fighter. The Russian Defense Ministry clarified that the SAM was destroyed in the area of the Dergachy Kharkiv region.
The special operation of the Russian Federation to protect the population of the Luhansk and Donetsk People's Republics continues in Ukraine and in the Donbas, the beginning of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24. Moscow explained that its tasks include demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine. On April 19, the Russian side announced the beginning of the next stage of the military operation — the complete liberation of the Donetsk and Lugansk republics.
