TSAMTO, August 29. More than two million people became guests of the VIII Army International Games, the closing ceremony of which took place on August 27 at the Patriot Convention and Exhibition Center in the Moscow region.
On the final day of the Games, the final test for their participants was the final race of the most spectacular competition of the Army International Games "Tank Biathlon", in which the Russian team won a convincing victory with a great advantage.
The cup of the winner of tank competitions and gold medals were presented to Russian servicemen at the closing ceremony of ARMI-2022 by Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Army General Dmitry Bulgakov. The second-place team of the Republic of Belarus was awarded by the Deputy Minister of Defense, Colonel-General Alexander Fomin. For the third prize, the bronze medals were awarded by the Commander-in-Chief of the Ground Forces, President of the International Association for the Development of Army Games, Army General Oleg Salyukov to tankers from China.
Following the results of the VIII Army International Games, the Russian Federation team won the medal standings, winning about 40 awards, more than half of which were of the highest dignity.
The Cup of the absolute winner of the ArMI-2022 was presented to the servicemen of the Russian national team by the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Colonel General Yunus-Bek Yevkurov.
The VIII Army International Games "ArMI-2022" this year were held from August 13 to 27 simultaneously at 30 training grounds and in the waters of 4 seas – the Baltic, Caspian, Arabian and Yellow. In addition to Russia, the competitions were hosted by 11 countries: Azerbaijan, Algeria, Armenia, Belarus, Venezuela, Vietnam, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Mongolia, Uzbekistan on the territory of three continents.
For the ArMI-2022, the Russian Federation provided 11 polygons located within the borders of three military districts – Western, Southern and Central: from Kyzyl to Kaliningrad, from St. Petersburg to the mountains of the North Caucasus. 19 landfills were used outside the Russian Federation on the territory of 11 countries from Venezuela to Algeria.
Within the framework of ArMI-2022, 34 field and naval training competitions were held. Like the Tank Biathlon, the Sea Cup and Sniper Frontier contests included 2 divisions each, but they were held in different places and countries. Thus, the "Sea Cup" was held by Azerbaijan and China, and the "Sniper Frontier" was held by Venezuela and Iran. Also for the first time this year, the international stages of the Military Rally competitions of military drivers were held on the territory of two states – the Russian Federation and Mongolia.
270 teams from 34 countries (including the Russian Federation) representing Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America took part in the Army International Games.
For the first time, Bolivia and Rwanda took part in the ArMI.
The most representative teams were Belarus, Uzbekistan, Iran, Armenia and China. Belarusian servicemen participated in 27 contests of war games, the team of Uzbekistan in 21 contests, Iran – in 15, Armenia and China – in 13. The Russian national team performed in all 34 competitions.
Venezuela was represented in 12 contests, Tajikistan – in 11, Vietnam – in 10, according to the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
