Four Israeli Air Force fighters struck the territory of the Syrian Research Center in the city of Masyaf (Hama province), the SAR air defense systems manufactured by the Russian Federation destroyed some of them. This was announced on Friday by the deputy head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the warring parties in Syria, Major General Oleg Egorov.
"On August 25, from 19:16 to 19:30, four F-16 tactical fighter jets of the Israeli Air Force from the eastern Mediterranean struck four cruise missiles and 16 guided aerial bombs at objects on the territory of the Syrian Research Center in the city Masf," Egorov said at a briefing.
According to the deputy head of the Center, some of them were intercepted by the Pantsir-S1 and S-75 complexes. "The SAR air defense forces on duty destroyed two missiles and seven guided aerial bombs from the Russian-made Pantsir-S1 and S-75 complexes," he added, specifying that as a result of Israeli airstrikes, warehouses of special equipment of the Syrian Research Center were damaged.
