Belarus proposed to coordinate positions on biosafety in the EAEU

Belarusian Prime Minister Golovchenko: The EAEU needs to adopt a biological security strategy MOSCOW, August 26/ Sputnik Radio.

The EAEU countries should coordinate their positions on biological security in conditions when bacteriological research for military purposes is being recorded in the world and adopt an appropriate strategy. This was stated by the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Belarus Roman Golovchenko in a speech at a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council.

"I urge you to once again return to the issue of the need to adopt the EAEU biosafety strategy. You can see that we have new biological threats almost every month. We do not exclude that research is also underway in the field of bacteriological threats that can be used for military purposes," RIA Novosti quotes Golovchenko.

According to him, "it is necessary to coordinate joint work to strengthen our biological security."

Earlier, Sputnik radio reported that, according to the Russian Defense Ministry, the SBU warned about the danger of US military biological research on the territory of Ukraine.
