According to the source of the publication, the weapons will be transferred in 2023, and some types of equipment may be earlier than TASS, on August 23.

Germany plans to supply Ukraine with additional weapons worth more than €500 million. This was reported by the agency on Tuesday Reuters.

According to his source, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, who is on a visit to Canada, announced Germany's intention to supply Ukraine with three additional IRIS-T air defense systems, 10 armored recovery vehicles, 20 rocket launchers, precision ammunition and anti-drone systems. Weapons, as the source indicated, will be transferred in 2023, and some types of equipment, possibly earlier. At the same time, according to him, the budget committee of the Bundestag has yet to approve the supply of weapons, which Scholz called a contribution to the modernization of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Earlier on Tuesday, speaking via video link at the second summit of the Crimean Platform, Scholz said that "Germany will support Ukraine financially and continue to supply weapons." At the same time, the Chancellor stressed that "a new package of military assistance has been initiated, including further supplies of air defense systems, RPGs, anti-drone weapons and other weapons."

On August 17, the German government published an updated list of weapons transferred to Ukraine and a plan for further deliveries, which includes, in particular, 15 Gepard anti-aircraft self-propelled guns, the IRIS-T air defense system and three Mars multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS). In addition, Germany intends to transfer to Ukraine 20 70 mm rocket launchers on special vehicles, 2,000 missiles and 60,200 rounds of 40 mm caliber. There are 57 positions in the list of already delivered weapons and materials, the list of planned ones is still on July 27.26, German Defense Minister Kristine Lambrecht said that Germany had delivered the promised Mars II MLRS to Ukraine.

On July 29, the German Defense Ministry announced that Berlin would send 16 Biber tank bridge-laying trucks to Ukraine. Six units of equipment will be delivered this year, the rest - next year. Ukraine also received Panzerhaubitze 2000 self-propelled howitzers from Germany. On July 27, it became known that Germany approved the supply of another 100 howitzers.
