The agreement on interaction and cooperation was signed by the Deputy Director of TASS Andrey Sokolov and the head of the Voenkino Foundation Maxim Ksenzov MOSCOW, August 17.
/tass/. The TASS news agency will promote the dissemination of information about the work of the Military Patriotic Cinema Support Fund (Voenkino), which promotes the history and traditions of the Russian army. The corresponding agreement was signed on Wednesday at the Army-2022 forum, a TASS correspondent reports.
The agreement on interaction and cooperation was signed by the Deputy director of TASS Andrey Sokolov and the head of the Voenkino Foundation Maxim Ksenzov.
"The activities of the Russian Armed Forces are always in the spotlight of our agency's journalists. News reports, specialized thematic feeds, TASS products and special projects about the army and defense industry, the latest weapons systems and promising developments are always of increased interest to our audience. In this work, we attach special importance to the preservation of knowledge and memory of the most important historical events in society, including those in which the agency's journalists were direct participants," Sokolov said after the signing of the agreement.
He stressed that TASS not only supports such projects, but also initiates them himself. In particular, in 2021-2022, in collaboration with the Zvezda TV channel, the documentaries "Gagarin. Life in the TASS Chronicle" and "The Great Patriotic War in the TASS Chronicle", which are based on photographs and memoirs of the agency's journalists.
In accordance with the agreement, TASS will talk about the work of the Voenkino Foundation to create military-patriotic films and programs that promote patriotic education of young people, socially significant cultural initiatives aimed at preserving the historical memory and traditions of the Russian army and navy, and will also popularize them among Russian and foreign audiences.
As Ksenzov noted, in the more than a century-old history of TASS there are many pages related to the history of the country, including the military.
"Suffice it to recall that TASS photojournalists made the most famous shots about the Great Patriotic War. The agency's historical experience can become an invaluable basis for new modern formats. I am sure that together we will be able to find many opportunities for the implementation of successful military-patriotic projects," he said.
The head of the foundation stressed that Voenkino aims, among other things, to "prolong the life" of film projects so that they do not become "one-view films".
"We understand that cinema is not just a one-time viewing. And we want to create a system that will allow the film to live for more than one, two or three years. We believe that we can "prolong the life" of film projects," Ksenzov said.
The International Military-Technical Forum "Army-2022" opened on August 15 and will last until August 21. Within its framework, 289 events are planned to be held at the Patriot Park facilities, the Alabino training ground, Kubinka airfield, as well as in all military districts and the Northern Fleet, in more than 30 regions of Russia. Military delegations from 72 countries take part in the forum. TASS is a strategic media partner of the forum.
