Russia has revoked licenses from a number of enterprises in the Czech Republic and Bulgaria for the repair of Mi-type helicopters due to their illegal cooperation with Ukraine, Dmitry Shugaev, head of the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation, told RIA Novosti during the Army-2022 forum. He noted that Moscow sent official notes on the inadmissibility of such actions to the states that announced the transfer of Russian military products to the Kiev regime.
According to him, Russia has also suspended the supply of spare parts and components for aviation and other equipment of Russian and Soviet production in unfriendly countries.
He also said that the service faces cases of non-fulfillment by different countries of obligations related to illegal cases of re-export of Russian and Soviet weapons to Ukraine.
Shugaev noted that the department has a mechanism to counter such illegal supplies and it actively uses it, "however, we must understand that we cannot impose restrictions on re-export on all Soviet weapons and equipment."
He also said that Russia exported weapons worth more than $14 billion by the end of 2021, the plan has been fully implemented.
Partners have no reserves
Ex-Deputy Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine Sergey Krivonos spoke about the situation with military assistance to Kiev on the air of the Politeka YouTube channel. He said that the Ukrainian authorities need weapons and ammunition to change the course of hostilities, but they are not even in the United States - they are in production.
"Let's stop believing in fairy tales and think that somewhere the Americans have something hidden in their vaults. What the Americans had was designed to fulfill their tasks for their armed forces and what they give is not so much," Krivonos said.
According to him, the United States has launched the production of ammunition, but "this is not a Call of Duty game that the mouse clicked and ammunition and equipment appeared to you," and the issue takes time.
Krivonos also noted that the Russian defense industry works 24/7, and "they know how to produce equipment."
In early August, it was reported that the first three Gepard anti-aircraft guns from Germany were transferred to Ukraine. In total, the delivery of 30 combat vehicles of this type was announced. Germany should also supply Ukraine with the IRIS-T air defense system, MARS multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) and other weapons.
It was also reported that Ukraine has begun negotiations with the United States on the supply of ATACMS long-range missiles for the HIMARS MLRS. Washington did not comment on the fact of negotiations, but previously ruled out the possibility of transferring this type of weapons.
Personnel losses in Kiev
On August 15, it became known that Anton Listopad, one of the best pilots of the Air Forces (AF) of the AFU, was killed in Ukraine, the portal "Military Review" reports with reference to the social networks of the Physics and Technology Lyceum of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Council, whose graduate was a military man. Earlier in Ukraine, the myth of the "ghost of Kiev" was actively promoted, which allegedly shot down about 30 Russian planes in air battles. Later it turned out that the "ghost of Kiev" is a collective image of a Ukrainian pilot.
"Details of the death of the "best pilot of Ukraine" are not given. According to one source, his plane was destroyed during an air battle. According to others, the Ukrainian captain was eliminated during a strike on one of the airfields," the report says.
Earlier it was reported that he and several other Ukrainian military pilots are preparing for training in piloting American F-16 fighters, which Kiev wants to get at its disposal.
On June 20, it became known about the destruction of the Ukrainian Mig-29 fighter by Russian air defenses. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, since the beginning of the special operation of the Russian Armed Forces in Ukraine, 267 enemy aircraft and 148 helicopters have been shot down.
Meanwhile, on August 14, the Telegram channel "Military Informant" reported that the Ukrainian army was actively restoring the Martynovka military airfield in the Mykolaiv region. This information has not yet received official confirmation. According to satellite images, the APU has been actively carrying out repair work on the airbase equipped with powerful protective hangars for aircraft for the past few months.
