Peskov predicted demilitarization of the Bayraktar Turkish drone factory in Ukraine
MOSCOW, Aug 9 - RIA Novosti. If the production of Turkish drones appears in Ukraine, it will fall under demilitarization, said Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation.
Earlier, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Turkey announced that the Turkish company Bayraktar will build a factory in Ukraine for the production of drones of the same name, the company has allegedly already registered and bought a plot of land.
In 2018-2020, Ukraine imported Turkish TB2 Bayraktar attack drones. Since the end of 2021, own production of this UAV has already been started under an agreement with Turkey, but the details were not specified. Bayraktar TB2 became widely known during the Karabakh conflict of 2020 between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
