DONETSK, August 5. /tass/. The use of drones was banned in the airspace of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) for the duration of a special military operation. The corresponding resolution of the State Defense Committee was published on Friday on the website of the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin.
"For the duration of the special military operation in the territories of the DPR, LPR and Ukraine, to establish a ban on the use of unmanned aircraft in the airspace of the Donetsk People's Republic," the document says.
It is clarified that the ban does not apply to the equipment of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of State Security, the People's Militia, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Prosecutor General's Office, which is involved in ensuring state and public security and conducting search and rescue operations. Also, drones are allowed to be used by media representatives, including foreign ones, who are accredited in the republic, provided that the equipment is registered.
The airspace of the republic is understood as "a part of the air sphere located above the territory of the DPR, including its territorial waters (territorial sea), and a limited vertical surface that runs within the state border of the DPR, taking into account the liberated territories previously temporarily under the control of Ukraine."
The document clarifies that in case of violation of the ban, the equipment will be withdrawn, and the ownership of its owner will cease from the moment of withdrawal.
The resolution came into force from the moment of publication.
