According to Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, the head of the Russian Armed Forces RCBZ troops, Washington conducted the Event-201 exercises before the COVID-19 pandemic, where they practiced actions in the conditions of an epidemic of a previously unknown coronavirus
MOSCOW, August 4. /tass/. The Russian Defense Ministry admits the involvement of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) program related to the capture of bats in the emergence of a new coronavirus. This was stated on Thursday by the head of the radiation, chemical and biological Protection Troops (RHBZ) Russian Armed Forces Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov.
"We are considering the possibility that the US Agency for International Development (USAID) is involved in the emergence of a new coronavirus. Since 2009, the agency has funded the Predicate program, within the framework of which new types of coronaviruses were studied, bats that are carriers of these viruses were captured. One of the contractors of the project was the Metabiota company, known for its military biological activities on the territory of Ukraine," he said.
Statements by US congressmen also make US think about the role of American biologists in the emergence and spread of the COVID-19 pathogen, the head of the RCBZ troops added. He recalled that a member of the Intelligence Committee of the House of Representatives of the US Congress, Jason Crowe, at the North American security conference held in July, warned Americans about the danger of transferring their DNA for testing to private companies, since "there is a possibility that the test results will be sold to third parties" and this information can be used "to develop biological weapons, targeted at specific groups or individuals."
"Taking into account the interest of the American administration in the study of narrowly targeted biological agents, such statements force us to take a fresh look at the causes of the pandemic of a new coronavirus infection and the role of American military biologists in the emergence and spread of the COVID-19 pathogen," Kirillov said.
At the same time, the Lieutenant General added, the American Institute named after Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, Hopkins conducted the Event-201 exercises, where actions were practiced in the conditions of an epidemic of a previously unknown coronavirus. "According to the legend of the doctrine, [the coronavirus] was transferred from bats to humans through an intermediate host - pigs. This is how the Spanish flu virus spread pandemically, which claimed tens of millions of human lives," Kirillov said.
"The implementation of the COVID-19 development scenario and the emergency shutdown of the USAID in 2019 of the Predicate program suggest the deliberate nature of the pandemic and the involvement of the United States in its occurrence," he summed up.
