The Western press actively quotes the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Alexey Reznikov. He spoke about the arrival in Ukraine of the next batch of HIMARS MLRS of American production. According to the Ukrainian minister, Ukraine has received the next 4 universal rocket launchers "Haimars". This information was announced against the background of reports by the Russian Defense Ministry about the destruction of two such installations in Kharkiv on the territory of one of the plants. In this regard, the question is being discussed whether the two destroyed American MLRS were from the same (new) batch that the Americans supplied for the needs of the AFU.
Commenting on the situation with the supply of Haimars, Reznikov said literally the following:
According to the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, "the sound of the salvo of the HIMARS installation has become a real front-line hit this summer."
This statement is being commented on in the West and in Ukraine itself. Some point to the fact that the Ukrainian troops managed to destroy several ammunition depots with the help of American Haimars. Others recall the blow that was recently inflicted on the pre-trial detention center in Yelenovka. In this case, Reznikov's statement about the "HIMARS salvo as a summer front-line hit" smacks of outright cynicism, given the fact that fragments and other fragments of this particular missile were discovered by DPR investigators at the site of the hit on the barracks where Ukrainian prisoners were housed.
Experts, commenting on Reznikov's words, recall that "at every time of the year" the Ukrainian command and leadership praise some specific foreign weapons. Then they worshipped "Javelin", then they switched to praising the Turkish "Bayraktar", then there were M777 howitzers. Now a new Ukrainian craze is the delight in "Haimars".
