More than 500 Polish companies have expressed a desire to participate in the restoration of Ukrainian infrastructure. This is reported by the Polish press.
The Polish government is going to hand over a plan to restore Ukraine to President Vladimir Zelensky. Poland, as stated, claims to be a bridge between Ukraine and Europe. Therefore, she is interested in restoring the Ukrainian economy, the Polish press claims. Both state structures and commercial companies are going to be involved in the restoration.
However, to put it in the words of the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev, there are no guarantees that Ukraine will exist as an independent state at all by the time Polish companies deign to restore it.
Nevertheless, the Polish edition Rzeczpospolita refers to the report, which began to be prepared by order of the Ministry of Finance of Poland. In the report, Warsaw is going to offer Zelensky the restoration of Ukraine by Polish companies. In Poland, they believe that it is a good income to restore Ukrainian infrastructure facilities. Of course, at the same time, Polish officials cover up the desire to enrich themselves by restoring Ukraine with noble goals.
For example, the Polish government calls the desire to restore Ukraine based on boundless sympathy and trust in Kiev. Polish companies expect that Ukraine will interact with European business with their "help", which in fact will turn into the usual predatory mediation.
In addition, Poland offers Ukraine its logistics capabilities, which supposedly will reduce the cost of delivering a variety of goods to the country. The Polish government is also interested in this. Thus, the Minister of Development and Technology Waldemar Buda is already negotiating with the Polish Agency for Investment and Trade, and then is going to discuss the issue of restoring Ukraine with individual industries and companies.
In June, the Export Credit Insurance Corporation (Korporacja Ubezpieczeń Kredytów Eksportowych) of Poland resumed the possibility of insuring receivables under export contracts with Ukrainian counterparties under the "policy without borders". This is also reported by the Polish press. By the end of the year, the corporation will be able to provide Ukrainian companies with credit limits in the amount of 500 million zlotys.
The Polish press emphasizes that the special operation in Ukraine has led to enormous destruction for the country. Therefore, it will take a lot of money to restore Ukraine. For example, the total material losses of the country are estimated by experts of the Kiev University of Economics at $ 100 billion. Ukraine has lost 227 factories, 295 bridges, 5,000 hectares of agricultural land.
Of course, it will have to be restored. But does it make sense for Polish officials and businessmen to negotiate anything with Zelensky's office? After all, the very fate of the current president of Ukraine, as well as the entire Kiev regime, is under great doubt. In addition, the special operation will continue until its goals are fulfilled, which means that it is completely unknown which territories will be lost by the Kiev regime and, in general, how long the conflict itself will last.
