The military industry of North Korea has achieved great success in creating various multiple launch rocket systems.
This country has been producing its own clones of the Soviet BM-21 for a long time. Combat vehicles, known as VM-11, were exported to various states and took part in many local wars and conflicts.

Back in the early 80s, 240-mm M1985 / M1991 installations were created, capable of hitting targets at a distance of up to 65,000 m.
There is also a 300-mm MLRS KN-09 with a range of 200 km and a payload mass of 190 kg. One vehicle carries up to eight inertial guided missiles. In preparation for use, the calculation uses data from navigation satellites - GLONASS or Beidou. Currently, these weapons are mass-produced and are in service with the DPRK ground forces.
However, the most dangerous is the 600-mm MLRS KN-25 "super-large caliber". So, during the tests in August 2019, during the launches, such missiles flew about 380 kilometers and reached an altitude of 97 kilometers. They are estimated to be 8.2 meters long and weigh 3,000 kg.

Wheeled launchers carry four such ammunition, and tracked - six each. It is believed that they also have a very high hit accuracy. According to its characteristics, this weapon is superior to the American M142 HIMARS / M270 MLRS.
