MOSCOW, July 18 – RIA Novosti. The accuracy of the cruise missiles of the Russian Iskander-M tactical missile system allows them to "fly right out the window," said the head of the combat crew of the complex in a video published by the Russian Defense Ministry.
The video shows the Iskander-M missile system in special camouflage, which goes to the position, prepares for firing and then launches the R-500 cruise missile.
"We are attacking critical facilities with a cruise missile. Its advantage is that it flies low, the air defense does not take it, and it can fly right through the window or through an open door," said the head of the calculation Nikolay.
According to him, the complex under his command carried out the tasks of launching missile strikes on enemy warehouses, command posts, all targets were hit.
As part of the strike shown in the video, Nikolai's calculation, the Ministry of Defense clarifies, hit a Ukrainian underground bunker with concrete walls and a ceiling one and a half meters thick.
The Iskander OTRK refers to high-precision weapons with a firing range of up to 500 kilometers. The warhead of the OTRK missile can destroy almost any target: enemy command posts, columns of equipment, air defense systems.
Both ballistic and cruise missiles are in the arsenal of the ITRC, which put false electronic interference on approach to the target and are practically invulnerable to enemy air defense systems. Cruise missiles can go at ultra-low altitudes and bend around the terrain.
