TSAMTO, July 18. Ex-President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that 350 drones were sent from Tallinn for the Ukrainian military, the first part of a batch of Autel drones, RIA Novosti reports.
"We have sent 350 drones from Tallinn for the armed forces of Ukraine. These are high-quality, front-tested Autel drones. In particular, they are equipped with thermal imagers, so they can work both day and night," Poroshenko said in a video posted on the Telegram channel of the TV channel5.ua ".
He noted that this is the first part of the batch, and as a result, "each company" will receive such a drone to adjust artillery fire.
Earlier, the general staff of the Ukrainian troops reported that the country should have its own "drone army" to help the military. According to the Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mikhail Fedorov, this is necessary in order to "close the front line with drones" 2,470 km wide.
It is known that earlier 100 drones were purchased for the Ukrainian military with volunteer funds from the Latvian company Atlas, such equipment is also in service with NATO, the agency notes.
