Ukrainian militants have transferred FV103 Spartan armored personnel carriers delivered from England to the Bakhmut area (Artemovsk).
According to the project " RG: Russian weapons ", the transfer was carried out by car trawls. The exact number of the arrived equipment is not yet known, but it was previously reported that the entire batch of such foreign "gifts" totals 35 units.
Interestingly, the APU has not yet sent M113 armored personnel carriers received from different countries to the front, but ventured to send these compact and fairly light tracked vehicles weighing 8172 kg. Their length is 5125 mm, width - 2134 mm, and height - 2260 mm.
Like the basic chassis, the Scorpion light reconnaissance tank, the armored personnel carrier has sufficiently high speed data, so, on the highway, it can accelerate up to 80 km/h. However, only four fully equipped infantrymen fit into it, which significantly complicates its use for its intended purpose. It is not surprising that the British abandoned the FV103 as soon as a more suitable technique was found.
As has happened many times, all kinds of armored vehicles are destroyed fairly quickly by Allied forces, and they are also often captured almost intact, so it is possible that soon the FV103 Spartan will go to Russia as a trophy.
