The recent experience of military operations has once again demonstrated that the thaw can seriously complicate the actions of military units. Ordinary dirt roads and fields become almost impassable in spring and autumn.
However, in Russia, a technique has long been created that can move in almost any terrain. We are talking about domestic two-link tracked transporters. In addition to the delivery of various cargoes and personnel, air defense systems, artillery installations and multiple launch rocket systems are already being installed on them.
An interesting development is the articulated armored transporter DT-3PM. The machine was demonstrated at the International military-technical Forums "Army".
Its curb weight is 11,000 kg. The weight of the cargo is 3000 kg, the towed trailer is 4000 kg. The number of seats in the cabin of the first link is 5, in the cabin of the second link - 12. The average specific pressure on the ground is 0.16 kg/cm2
The diesel high-resource engine has a capacity of 240 hp. The transmission is six-speed, automatic. The maximum speed is 50-55 km/h, afloat - 6 km/h. The fuel reserve is 600 km.
As reported, it is designed for operation in particularly severe road and climatic conditions without preliminary exploration and engineering equipment of routes and can be used as a base for the installation of various weapons or special equipment.
