Ukraine intends to build several enterprises for the maintenance and repair of armored vehicles, including those supplied by Western countries. This was stated by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Alexey Reznikov.
According to the minister, Ukraine is now receiving a lot of Western-style weapons, including armored vehicles. All these "latest weapons" require maintenance and repair, so it was decided to build several enterprises capable of performing this maintenance and repair.
Since the Russian Armed Forces periodically strike high-precision weapons at repair plants, it was decided to organize joint ventures in Eastern Europe, as well as in Western Ukraine. Reznikov did not give any other details. In addition, Kiev declares the need to build a cartridge factory.

It should be noted that the issue of the construction of a cartridge factory in Ukraine has been discussed since 2014, funds were even allocated for its construction, but nothing was built. Last year, three projects were announced in Kiev at once: a private cartridge factory, a state-owned one and a joint one with Canada. All the projects remained on paper, funds were allocated for them, and very large ones.
Currently, Kiev has neither money nor time for the construction of such an object. In general, another project for "cutting funds", if they are found.
