There was information about the use of another new type of weapon by the Russian Armed Forces in Ukraine. We are talking about mortars for almost silent firing. These are 2B25 "Gall" mortars. They are used primarily by special forces and help to effectively fight the enemy's DRG.
An informed source shared information about the use of Gall mortars with RIA Novosti. He noted that mortars of this type are designed in such a way that unmasking signs are minimized. The sound of the shot is much less loud than when firing from other domestic mortars. As noted, it is more like a clap of hands, because it is extremely difficult to hear it from a long distance.
According to its classification, "Gall" refers to silent portable mortars. Its aiming range ranges from 100 m to 1.2 km.
