Head of Chechnya Kadyrov: bases for new Akhmat battalions will appear in the republic
PYATIGORSK, June 30 - RIA Novosti. Bases for the new Akhmat battalions as part of the Russian Defense Ministry units are being built in the Chechen Republic, the head of the region Ramzan Kadyrov said.
Earlier, Kadyrov announced the formation of four battalions with an impressive number of natives of the republic. One of them, Zapad-Akhmat, has already been formed.
He noted that the formation of new battalions is handled by the chairman of the Chechen Parliament and concurrently the head of the republican headquarters of the SVO Magomed Daudov.
"On Wednesday, Daudov, together with Valery Kuznetsov, Director of the Department of Planning and Coordination of the arrangement of troops of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, visited the construction site of bases for new battalions," the head of Chechnya added.
According to him, Kuznetsov highly appreciated the quality of the work and thanked the public foundation for organizing comfortable conditions of service for the personnel of the battalions.
"During our meeting, he shared his positive impressions of visiting the patriotic youth base in Benoy, where young people, including children of employees who died in the line of duty, receive all the necessary training to protect the Fatherland from military threats. I thanked Valery Ivanovich for his visit to the republic, while emphasizing our serious approach to creating favorable conditions for the service and training of future defenders of our great Motherland - Russia," Kadyrov added.
