The aerospace forces of Russia with high-precision weapons struck the hangars in Kremenchug, where weapons and ammunition supplied by the United States were located, said the official representative of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov. According to him, ammunition for Western weapons detonated, so a fire started in a nearby closed shopping center.

Igor Konashenkov at a morning briefing of the Ministry of Defense said that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation "continue to strike military targets on the territory of Ukraine."
"On June 27, in the city of Kremenchug, Poltava region, the Russian Aerospace Forces struck with high-precision air-based weapons at hangars with weapons and ammunition received from the United States and European countries, in the area of the Kremenchug road machinery Plant," Konashenkov said.
He noted that Western-made weapons and ammunition intended for further shipment to Ukrainian troops in the Donbas have been hit. But the ammunition detonated and "caused a fire" in a nearby "non-functioning shopping center."
On the eve of the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky wrote in his Telegram channel that Russia "hit the shopping center with missiles, where there were more than a thousand civilians."
"The shopping center is on fire, rescuers are engaged in extinguishing the fire, the number of victims is impossible to even imagine," the Ukrainian president wrote.
He also stressed that there was "no strategic value" in the affected shopping center.
In turn, the first deputy permanent representative of Russia to the UN Dmitry Polyansky suggested that the "strike on the shopping center in Kremenchuk" was another Ukrainian provocation, with which Kiev is trying to "keep the focus on Ukraine before the NATO summit."
"Friendly fire"
At the briefing, Konashenkov also said that "successful joint actions of Russian troops, units of the people's militia" DNR and LNR "cause critical losses to the Armed Forces of Ukraine."
The military space Forces carried out several strikes on the deployment of Ukrainian soldiers in Kharkiv, as a result of which more than a hundred servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, foreign mercenaries were killed and up to 15 units of armored and automotive equipment were destroyed.
"The poor training of Ukrainian citizens mobilized to participate in hostilities, as well as the low level of training of foreign mercenaries, are increasingly becoming the cause of "friendly fire," the official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry added.
According to his data, the recruits who arrived to complement the 97th battalion of the 60th Infantry Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were subjected to mortar fire from their colleagues.
"A similar case occurred in the 28th mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, where foreign mercenaries opened fire on the reconnaissance group of this compound. As a result, four servicemen were killed on the spot, three were injured," Konashenkov said.
High-precision strikes
The representative of the Ministry of Defense said that the Russian Aerospace Forces destroyed two control points of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the DPR, as well as "manpower" and Ukrainian military equipment in 28 districts in the Lugansk and Donetsk directions.
In addition, Russia's high-precision weapons "hit four Ukrainian platoons of multiple rocket launchers "Grad", which fired at settlements in the DPR.
Operational-tactical and army aviation, rocket troops and artillery hit 24 control points, artillery and mortar units in 58 districts, as well as AFU soldiers and military equipment in 304 districts.
And Russian air defense means shot down three Su-25 aircraft and one Mi-8 helicopter of the Ukrainian Air Force in the Mykolaiv region during the day. Nine Ukrainian drones were also destroyed. In addition, Russian troops intercepted seven Ukrainian Tochka-U ballistic missiles and ten multiple rocket launchers.
HIMARS MLRS Strike
On Tuesday, the Telegram channel of the LPR representative office in the JCCC reported that the APU used the M142 HIMARS delivered by the West.
"Shelling was recorded by the armed formations of Ukraine. At 7:20 from the direction of the settlement of Artemovsk (Bakhmut) in the direction of Perevalsk with the use of MLRS M142 HIMARS (1 missile),"the message says.
The arrival of the American MLRS HIMARS in the country was announced by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Alexey Reznikov on June 23.
LPR People's Militia officer Andrei Marochko told TASS that the supply of American multiple rocket launchers to Ukraine makes it possible for the AFU to shell the most remote territories of the Luhansk People's Republic.
"Even when it was announced that these types of ammunition and weapons would be delivered to Ukraine from America, we already then developed a number and a set of measures that minimize, say, the actions of this complex, but it must be borne in mind that this is still a formidable weapon, and it causes significant damage to civilian infrastructure and, of course, to civilians," Marochko said.
According to him, the means of operational control of the LPR tracked the movement of the HIMARS MLRS that fired at Perevalsk, and the complex will be destroyed in the near future.
