TSAMTO, June 28. The Polish WB Group confirmed its intention to supply the Georgian Armed Forces with Flyai unmanned aerial vehicles manufactured by the newly established Delta WB joint company.

As reported by Defence24.pl In May 2022, WB Group signed an agreement on the creation of the Polish-Georgian company Delta WB, which will produce reconnaissance UAVs and barrage ammunition of Polish design. The company located in Tbilisi will be equally owned by the Georgian state-owned company Delta International and the Polish developer.

Currently, it has been confirmed that the company's products will include the Flyai reconnaissance UAV, which is in service with the Ground Forces, the MTR, the Territorial Defense Forces and the Polish Border Guard Service. Since 2015, this UAV has also been used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Recently, a Georgian delegation consisting of Ambassador to Warsaw Zurab Beridze and military attache Colonel Vehvia Chalabashvili got acquainted with the capabilities of the UAV during a visit to the 5th Mazovian Territorial Defense Brigade.

The Flyai UAVs are designed to conduct reconnaissance at any time of the day, detect, identify targets, target designation, evaluate the results of fire damage and shooting adjustments, and relay communications.

The take-off weight of the Flyai reconnaissance mini–UAV is 12 kg, the length is 1.8 m, the wingspan is 3.6 m, the payload weight is up to 6 kg. The device is equipped with a low-noise electric motor with lithium polymer batteries and can carry an EO/IR payload. The duration of the UAV flight is 150 min., the practical ceiling is 3500 m. The device develops a speed of 60-120 km/h and can be operated at wind speeds up to 75 km/h. The maximum range of application in the line of sight is 50-180 km. The launch of the UAV is carried out "by hand". When landing, the section with the payload and batteries is disconnected from the UAV and lowered by parachute. The device itself, under the control of an autopilot, lands "on the fuselage." Integration with the Topaz fire control system allows you to automatically transmit target data and information necessary for fire correction.
