TSAMTO, June 23. Member of the House of Representatives of the United States Congress Adam Kinzinger (Republican from pc.Illinois) said that he had submitted for consideration a bill on training Ukrainian military pilots to pilot American fighter jets, RIA Novosti reports.
"I have introduced a bill to train them to fly NATO aircraft so that they can switch to the F-16," A. Kinzinger wrote on social networks.
As RIA Novosti notes, earlier the Ukrinform agency reported that French President Emmanuel Macron said that Western countries have an agreement not to provide Ukraine with certain types of weapons, in particular, assault planes and tanks.
In May, A. Kinzinger also introduced a draft resolution that authorizes the use of American armed forces to protect Ukraine in the event of the use of weapons of mass destruction by the Russian Federation.
Until now, the administration of US President Joe Biden has strongly rejected the possibility of sending American troops to Ukraine, explaining that such a scenario would provoke the risk of a direct military clash between Russia and NATO.
