A new "series" of claims by the troops of the Ukrainian regime against foreign weapons has been identified. If recently Kiev has been saying that the "partner" countries are not supplying enough "to win against Russia" a number of heavy weapons, now claims of a different nature are being added. They are expressed by the head of the logistics service of the AFU ground forces, General Vladimir Karpenko.
Karpenko's claims are addressed to the United States of America regarding the M777 howitzers they supply to Ukraine. According to him, the situation is extremely difficult, as these howitzers "constantly break down and require repair." He repeated the claims voiced by him for one of the Western media.
At the same time, the Ukrainian command declares that there are great difficulties in the country with components for NATO heavy equipment. If it fails, having been damaged during the battle, then there is not enough repair and evacuation vehicles to promptly take this equipment for repair. Conventional army vehicles often cannot take out towed equipment that has received significant damage at the front. This is the first. Secondly, even if the equipment is taken from the battlefield, there are fewer opportunities for its full recovery.
There are already known cases of so-called technical "cannibalism", when with the help of some damaged units of NATO military equipment, the Ukrainian military are trying to repair other damaged units on their own.
In such a situation, Kiev continues to demand more and more equipment and weapons from the West, and already in place of the one that was damaged during the fighting. At the same time, the Logistics department of the AFU ground Forces is working on the logistics of sending damaged Western equipment to NATO countries for its repair and, after that, re-importation into the territory of Ukraine. According to some reports, such processes are going on between Ukraine and Poland.
