The Ministry of Defense has published a video of the destruction of M-777 howitzers delivered by the United States to Ukraine
MOSCOW, June 21 – RIA Novosti. The Russian Defense Ministry has published footage of objective control of the destruction of firing positions of 155-mm M-777 howitzers received by Ukraine from the United States and European countries.
It is noted that the Russian artillery reconnaissance units have established the coordinates of the firing positions of howitzers. After that, additional reconnaissance by drones was carried out. The artillery strike on the howitzers was inflicted by high-precision artillery ammunition.
"As a result of an accurate hit of artillery ammunition, two platoons of US-made howitzers and ammunition for them were destroyed. The accuracy of the defeat of the American artillery systems in service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine was carried out by calculations of unmanned aerial vehicles," the Russian military department noted.
In just a day, during the counter-battery struggle, Russian gunners destroyed 15 M-777 howitzers, "most of which were in the area of the Druzhkovka railway station, without having had time to fire a single shot yet," the Defense Ministry reported on Tuesday.
In the published video taken from a drone, trucks with howitzers drive up to the positions, and the Ukrainian military are trying to disguise them. Further explosions from the shells and the fires that started are visible.
