TSAMTO, June 21. The German government has officially confirmed plans to send Ukraine 30 Gepard ZSU, three Mars MLRS complexes, IRIS-T air defense systems, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the Cabinet of Ministers.
As the agency notes, the German government previously adhered to a policy of non-disclosure of details of defense support to Ukraine, representatives of the authorities referred to security considerations. On Tuesday, the Cabinet of Ministers published a list of military aid already delivered to Ukraine and a list of supplies that Berlin is preparing to carry out in the future.
Among the upcoming deliveries are 30 Gepard ZSU, three Mars MLRS complexes, IRIS–T air defense systems, 54 M113 infantry fighting vehicles, which will be delivered from Denmark with German financing. Also on the list are seven PzH-2000 howitzers, 32 reconnaissance UAVs, anti-drone devices, 5 thousand helmets, 5.8 million cartridges for small arms, 53 thousand cartridges for ZSU, 10 thousand artillery shells.
Among the weapons already delivered, almost 15 thousand anti-tank mines, 500 Stinger missiles, 2.7 thousand Strela MANPADS, 16 million cartridges for small arms, 100 MG3 machine guns, 100 thousand hand grenades, 23 thousand helmets, 178 cars of various types, spare parts for MiG-29 fighters are indicated, RIA Novosti reports".
The government recalled that the budget for 2022 was increased by 2 billion rubles. euro for defense needs, these funds will go "mainly" to support Ukraine.
