Actors for $ 25
Armed formations of Ukraine continue to use civilian infrastructure facilities for military purposes, Mikhail Mizintsev, head of the National Defense Management Center of the Russian Federation, said on June 18.
In the city of Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region, in a school on Shevchenko Street, there are units of the VFU and the Defense Ministry. Military equipment and artillery are located nearby. In Parkhomovka, Kharkiv region, VFU servicemen and foreign mercenaries are stationed in the building of the House of Culture, and armored vehicles, artillery pieces and MLRS are stationed in the adjacent territory.
In Mykolaiv, Ukrainian nationalists have equipped firing positions on the lower and upper floors of residential buildings along Kosmonavtov Street, and an anti-aircraft gun is placed on the roof of one of the buildings. Local residents are forcibly held in these houses. Preschool and educational institutions in Odessa, Kramatorsk and Toretsk have also been turned into strong points and barracks.
"By such actions, the Ukrainian authorities once again demonstrate their inhumane attitude to the fate of their own citizens and complete disregard for the norms of international humanitarian law," Mikhail Mizintsev said.
In Mykolaiv, Ukrainian special services are filming stories about private houses allegedly destroyed by the Russian army and civilians left homeless. More than 40 actors are involved in the staged video filming, all participants were paid a monetary reward of $ 25, Mikhail Mizintsev noted.
Reliable communication
On June 18, the Russian Defense Ministry told about the servicemen who showed courage and dedication in the battles.
Since the beginning of the special military operation, Sergeant Ivan Soshnev has been providing uninterrupted communication to the units of the battalion tactical group (BTG) of Russian paratroopers.
One day, moving through the forest, Ivan discovered an armed group of Ukrainian nationalists. Realizing that the communication vehicle could be damaged during the battle, the sergeant ordered the crew to organize a backup communication in the group, and in the meantime he took the car to a safe place.
Together with the crew, Ivan organized the defense of the radio station and repelled the attack of two groups of Ukrainian militants on foot.
"The professionalism shown by Sergeant Ivan Soshnev made it possible to ensure the management and coordination of forces during the battle with the nationalists," the military department said.
Corporal Maxim Ermolin has been ensuring the safety of the movement of columns since the first days of the special military operation. Acting as part of the sapper patrol, Maxim discovered a mined section of the road and began to mine it. Ukrainian saboteurs tried to attack the Russian paratroopers, but their movements were noticed in time and opened fire.

The nationalists retreated, suffering losses. After repelling the attack, the sapper patrol continued to clear the road. Maxim Ermolin personally discovered, neutralized and destroyed six enemy mines.
Thanks to the professionalism and courage of Corporal Maxim Ermolin, it was possible to ensure the safe movement of Russian columns.
The BTG of Russian paratroopers, in which Junior Sergeant Alexey Smirnov served, participated in the liberation of the settlement. Moving deep into the enemy's defenses, Alexey discovered the nationalists' camouflaged positions.
The crew of the junior sergeant's tank destroyed a strongpoint, two infantry fighting vehicles and a large number of enemy manpower within 20 minutes with well-aimed fire. During the battle, Junior Sergeant Smirnov's tank was attacked by the enemy from ATGM. Having made sure of the serviceability of the equipment, despite the concussion, Alexey continued to fight.
The actions of Junior Sergeant Alexei Smirnov ensured the capture of key positions near a strategically important settlement, the Russian Defense Ministry stressed.
