SpaceX has fired employees who participated in the compilation and distribution of an open letter of complaint criticizing the behavior of the founder and owner of the company, Elon Musk. This was reported by the American newspaper The New York Times .
The exact number of dismissed employees is not specified.
According to Gwynne Shotwell, president and chief operating officer of the company, this document made SpaceX employees feel uncomfortable, and also caused a feeling that they were being pressured and forced to do something that did not correspond to their views. "Bombarding thousands of people throughout the company with unwanted emails and asking them to sign a document during the working day is unacceptable," she stressed.
Shotwell suggested that the workers focus on the SpaceX mission to get to Mars. "We have too much important work to do, and there is no need for such excessive activity," she concluded.
Earlier it was reported that SpaceX employees prepared a collective complaint to the management against the head of the company, Elon Musk. Among the reasons for dissatisfaction with the behavior of the American entrepreneur were accusations of sexual harassment against him. The authors of the letter also stated that "Ilon's behavior in the public arena is often distracting and causes a sense of shame, especially in recent weeks."
