The Russian Ministry of Defense has published footage of the organization of continuous logistics (MTO) of Russian military units in the field. Uninterrupted cooking, bread baking, washing, as well as repair and refueling of equipment are organized for the soldiers.
The rear units of the Western Military District (ZVO) are continuously working to provide troops during a special military operation. Special attention is paid to the issues of providing all necessary military personnel operating at a considerable distance from temporary deployment and deployment points.
Mobile mechanized bakeries, field kitchens, canteens, consumer service rooms, field bath and laundry complexes and other MTO facilities were deployed in one of the new areas of deployment of Russian units. The troops are provided with everything necessary, despite the rather harsh field life. For example, bread is baked daily for those who are currently performing combat missions on the front line.
Every morning, more than five hundredweight of products are waiting in the warehouse. This is enough to feed about a thousand servicemen. Bakers work in several shifts. "Homemade bread", which is baked by masters of their craft, turns out fresh, lush and ruddy. The stoves do not cool down for an hour, just as the boilers of the field kitchen do not cool down. In all accommodation facilities, cooks take care that every soldier receives a full hot meal.
"Three meals a day are organized. At the departure of military personnel, in addition to dry rations and bottled water, we issue sets of products. The assortment is made up completely like this: it is rich in fats, proteins, carbohydrates, calories," said Alexey, the head of the food service.
Mobile field baths and summer showers have been deployed to ensure personal hygiene. The field bath and laundry complex is equipped with the usual equipment. In the meantime, things are being washed — those who wish can get a haircut. All household complexes are mobile. This means that even those servicemen who are far from the main accommodation points will be able to use all the amenities in the fields.
The main task of logistics support units is not to disrupt uninterrupted supplies. When military personnel have everything they need, nothing distracts from performing their main tasks. That is why supply is an important link in the army chain.
