TSAMTO, June 14. The first howitzers will be delivered by Germany to Ukraine when the training of Ukrainian servicemen who will serve them is completed.
This, as RIA Novosti reports, was stated by the head of the German Defense Ministry, Kristina Lambrecht, answering a question about possible delivery dates.
"The first howitzers will be delivered when the training is completed," the minister said, adding that no specific information about the delivery dates or the route will be reported for security reasons.
As the agency reminds, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Germany Andriy Melnyk said that the delivery of seven German howitzers to Kiev is scheduled for June 22.
Earlier, Spiegel magazine, citing sources in Ukrainian government circles, reported that German military personnel are already being trained in the use of PzH-2000 self-propelled howitzers, and German Defense Minister Kristina Lambrecht confirmed that Berlin will supply Ukraine with seven such guns.
