The Republic needs additional means to counter the artillery strikes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
After the massive shelling of Donetsk on June 13, the DPR authorities turned to Russia for help. This was stated by the head of the republic Denis Pushilin — according to him, additional forces are required in order to resist the enemy who has crossed all the edges. On Monday, as a result of shelling of peaceful neighborhoods of the DPR capital, four people were killed and almost two dozen were injured. Miraculously, victims were avoided after a shell hit the maternity hospital building - the women in labor and the staff were forced to hide in the basement. Over the past day, the Russian Aerospace Forces have launched missile strikes on a base of foreign mercenaries and a warehouse of Western weapons in the LPR and DPR. Experts note that strikes on the rear units of mercenaries will dramatically reduce the number of foreigners who regret coming to Ukraine to take part in hostilities.
All the necessary forces
The armed formations of Ukraine continue to launch artillery strikes on peaceful settlements of the DPR. On June 13, Donetsk was subjected to one of the most massive shelling in the history of the conflict. He claimed the lives of four residents of the republic. Three of them died in the Budyonnovsky district of Donetsk, where shells hit the territory of the Maysky market, causing a strong fire. Another woman died in Lyubovka. 15 people were injured in Budyonnovsky district, four more in Kuibyshev and one in Gorlovka.
After the shell hit, the building of the maternity hospital named after Vishnevsky caught fire. Windows were broken in the building, the roof was partially damaged. According to preliminary data, none of the women in labor and staff were injured.

On the evening of June 13, the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin announced the need to use additional allied forces due to increased shelling of Donetsk and other cities of the republic.
- The enemy has literally crossed all the lines, prohibited methods of warfare are being used, sleeping and central districts of Donetsk are being shelled, other cities and settlements of the DPR are also under fire. In this regard, it is understood that all the necessary additional forces of the allied forces, primarily the Russian Federation, will be involved," he said.
The head of the DPR reported that "about 30 enemy firing points have been suppressed over the past day, and the enemy command post in the area of the village of Memrik has also been destroyed."
Strike at the mercenaries
On June 13, the armed forces of the Russian Federation continued to strike at objects of the military and transport infrastructure of Ukraine.
- High-precision air-launched missiles in the area of the Udachnoye railway station of the Donetsk People's Republic destroyed a large number of weapons and military equipment delivered to the Ukrainian nationalist group, including from the United States and European countries. In addition, the temporary deployment point of foreign mercenaries in the Fedorovka area of the Luhansk People's Republic was destroyed, as well as two batteries of multiple rocket launchers in the Progress districts of the Kharkiv region and Volcheyarovka of the Luhansk People's Republic," said the official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov.
Strikes on bases of foreign mercenaries and warehouses of foreign weapons with missile weapons are an important work for pre–emption, military expert Vladislav Shurygin believes.

The enemy is under fire when he is in the rear. The front is somewhere far away, so at this moment he is relaxed and does not feel danger. The mood to fight among the survivors, after an unexpected missile strike, drops sharply. We have seen how after the Russian missiles hit the mercenary base at the Yavorovsky training ground, many foreigners who decided to fight quickly left the country. In addition, the very fact of mass death discourages potential mercenaries from going to Ukraine.
Mercenaries are in many ways an element of PR and their presence is important for Kiev, as it allows Ukrainian propagandists to say that the whole world supports them, the expert noted.
- Mercenaries are infantry, which is more motivated and better trained than the Ukrainian, - he believes. – Foreigners who appear at the front, as a rule, have served and have combat experience. But we must understand that the infantry is now playing a supporting role. The Allied forces begin their attacks after the front line is cleared by artillery and aircraft. Mercenaries are now hiding more in trenches and basements from the blows of our artillery.
According to the expert, the weapons that are transferred to Kiev by the United States and European countries are also profitable to destroy in warehouses or during transportation.
- It is important to destroy it before it spreads along the front line and starts shooting, - said Vladislav Shurygin.
Fighting drones
Also on June 13, planes and helicopters of the Russian Aerospace Forces hit the control center, the radar station of the Buk-M1 anti-aircraft missile system and 63 areas of concentration of armed formations of Ukraine. In total, as a result of the strikes, more than 120 nationalists, two tanks, seven field artillery guns and eleven special vehicles were destroyed, the Defense Ministry noted.
Russian air defenses destroyed eight Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles over the Kharkiv, Mykolaiv regions and the territory of the DPR and LPR during the day. In addition, a Bayraktar TB-2 was shot down in the Luhansk region.

Rocket troops and artillery hit 247 areas of concentration of manpower and military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 13 control points, 63 firing artillery positions, including seven multiple rocket launchers and an electronic warfare station, the Defense Ministry reported.
"Since the beginning of the special military operation, 201 aircraft, 130 helicopters, 1,196 unmanned aerial vehicles, 338 anti-aircraft missile systems, 3,525 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 515 multiple rocket launchers, 1,933 field artillery and mortar guns, as well as 3,583 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed," Igor Konashenkov listed.
Fighting at the ferry
The Russian Defense Ministry told about the servicemen who showed courage and dedication during the fighting.
Lieutenant Colonel Eduard Usov commanded a rocket artillery division from the first days of a special military operation, being at the forefront. Conducting aerial reconnaissance using the Orlan-10 unmanned aerial vehicle, he discovered a group of Ukrainian nationalists and their strongholds. Having assessed the situation, the lieutenant colonel decided to strike at the enemy positions. Personally correcting artillery fire, he achieved high accuracy of MLRS fire.

During the offensive, Eduard Usov's division destroyed eight strongholds and up to 30 nationalists. The enemy tried to strike back, but Eduard brought the unit to a safe place in time, saving the lives of his subordinates.
The infantry fighting vehicle of Corporal Pavel Protsenko was advancing on well-fortified enemy positions near one of the settlements. During the battle, thanks to Pavel's training, four enemy infantry fighting vehicles and up to twenty nationalists were destroyed, Skillful actions ensured the successful advance of Russian units deep into the enemy's defenses, which led to its complete defeat, the Russian military department said.
The unit of Private Orlan Kyrgyz was tasked to take up defense at the pontoon crossing on the Desna River in order to prevent the enemy from breaking through to an important bridge. For several days, being under heavy mortar fire, Orlan's unit successfully repelled the attacks of the nationalists. Thanks to his high professionalism, Private Orlan Kyrgyz personally destroyed three infantry fighting vehicles, two tanks and up to fifteen nationalists, the Defense Ministry noted.
