The Russian military showed captured weapons abandoned by units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). On June 13, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation published the relevant footage.
It is noted that Russian servicemen have increasingly begun to notice that Ukrainian militants leave weapons imported by Western countries.
"Small arms, grenade launchers and ammunition for them come across the most. Most often there are such anti-tank guided missiles and complexes as NLAW and Javelin, German—made anti-tank mines, and from the interesting Ukrainian automatic grenade launcher UAG-40, which I would like to note that it differs from the Russian grenade launcher and the Soviet version by the NATO caliber," said Maxim, the head of the captured weapons warehouse.
The Russian military also found an American Browning M2 heavy machine gun and ammunition for a Swedish 84 mm Carl-Gustaf grenade launcher.
On June 11, the captured equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which was received by Lugansk fighters during the battles for the city of Happiness, was shown in the Luhansk People's Republic. Among the weapons that were conquered were Swedish-made NLAW and American Javelin anti-tank systems supplied to Kiev by NATO countries.
On June 7, the Russian Defense Ministry told about the destruction of a Norwegian self-propelled gun and two US howitzers transferred to Ukraine.
Russia continues the special operation to protect Donbass, which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24. The key goals of the Russian military are denazification and demilitarization of the Kiev regime, the Kremlin said.
