Lithuania is one of the most actively helping Ukraine countries. It has already reached the point that Vilnius has spent a third of its defense budget on military assistance to Kiev, and the country's Defense minister Arvydas Anushauskas announced a fundraiser for the purchase of the Bayraktar TB2 drone.
Lithuania's new assistance to Ukraine will consist in supplying the Armed Forces with the latest EOS C-VTOL reconnaissance drones manufactured in Estonia. In total, it is planned to deliver six UAVs, four of them will go to Ukraine in the near future, and two more - around August. As reported, these drones with vertical takeoff and landing have an electric motor that makes their flight virtually silent and a flight range of up to 50 km. As stated in Lithuania, this is the best option for adjusting artillery fire.
- said one of the initiators of the purchase of drones.
Together with the UAV, the Lithuanians transfer spare parts, and also take over the training of the Ukrainian military to control these drones. In addition, the delivery should include a "special antenna" that masks the take-off and landing of the drone.
This is not the end of Lithuania's assistance to Ukraine, it is reported that the purchase of a large batch of Bayraktar TB2 UAVs for the APU has been approved. When the Turkish attack UAVs will be delivered is not yet reported.
