"Kamikaze drones "CUBE" and "Lancet" have successfully proved themselves in combat conditions. Both drones are fast enough, silent, easy to use, capable of covering tens of kilometers and have high accuracy," said a representative of Rostec.
Drones are mainly used to hit remote ground targets. "At the same time, the Lancet has a high level of autonomy and carries an optoelectronic complex that allows you to independently find a target and hit it," the agency interlocutor noted.
The KUB drone was developed by ZALA Aero (part of Rostec's Kalashnikov Concern). The drone has a warhead weighing 3 kg. The maximum duration of the flight is 30 minutes, the speed is 130 km/ h. The KUB barrage ammunition successfully passed state tests in November 2021. In 2022, its serial deliveries to the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation were planned.
The Lancet drone, also manufactured by ZALA Aero, is equipped with several types of guidance systems: coordinate, using optoelectronic means and combined. The drone is equipped with a television communication channel that transmits an image of the target, which allows you to confirm the success of the defeat. The complex is capable of hitting targets within a radius of up to 40 km. The maximum take-off weight is 12 kg.
