TSAMTO, June 7. Moldova did not transfer spare parts for MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine. This, as RIA Novosti reports, was reported on June 6 at the State Property Agency.
Earlier in the day, Moldovan Telegram channels reported that a certain plane was heading from the Ukrainian Uzhgorod to Moldova, which landed at the Marculesti International Airport. After a while, the plane flew away. The media suggested that Chisinau allegedly handed over spare parts for MiG-29 aircraft to Ukraine.
"The Ukrainian plane that landed in Markulesti was making a technical flight, no military equipment was loaded on board," the State Property Agency said in a statement.
The ministry noted that the plane belongs to a company registered in Switzerland, which has been maintaining two AN-74K aircraft at the airport for two years. "This flight was coordinated with the Ministry of Defense, the customs Service and the civil aviation authority," the agency stressed.
As RIA Novosti notes, the airport in Markulesti was founded in 2004 on the basis of a former Soviet military unit, previously it was used to service military aircraft. There are 6 MiG-29 fighters on the territory of the airfield, which were inherited by Moldova from Soviet times.
