Twelve Mi-24D helicopters that arrived in Ukraine from the Czech Republic do not have the ability to use anti-tank guided missiles.
According to "RG: Russian weapons" , these rotorcraft, released in the late 70s, have not been used for a long time.
It turns out that the ATGM 9M17P of the Phalanx-PV complex used on them, capable of hitting 4 km and piercing 400 mm of armor, have long been disposed of. Therefore, if these helicopters take off (and there are doubts about this), they will be armed only with 4-barrel 12.7 mm machine guns and unguided missiles.
Interestingly, the "twenty-fourth" Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are already flying without guided weapons. At the same time, Barrier-B laser-guided ATGMs developed in Kiev were exported, but for some reason they were not purchased for their own needs. Perhaps there were doubts about the quality of this weapon.
