TSAMTO, June 2. The heads of the military departments of Slovakia and Ukraine signed a contract for the supply of eight Zuzana 2 self-propelled howitzers to Kiev.
This, as RIA Novosti reports, was announced on Twitter by the head of the Slovak defense ministry Yaroslav Nagy.
"I am glad to confirm that the contract for the supply of Zuzana 2 howitzers to Ukraine has been signed – eight installations will be delivered," wrote Ya. Nagy.
The Zuzana 2 self-propelled artillery howitzers have a 155 mm caliber and an 8x8 wheeled chassis, with a firing range of about 40 km. These howitzers are manufactured at the defense enterprises of Slovakia and are an upgraded version of the Zuzana howitzers. According to Slovak media, Zuzana 2 howitzers have been in service with the national army since the summer of 2021, the agency notes.
