Russian S-300PM2 Favorit systems destroyed Ukrainian Bayraktar TB2 unmanned aerial vehicles. This was reported on June 2 in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
"In the course of combat duty, aerial targets identified as Bayraktar TB2 attack unmanned aerial vehicles were detected. As a result of competent actions, shock drones that are in service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine (Armed Forces of Ukraine. — Ed.), were taken for escort and destroyed," the message says.
The day before it was reported that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation shot down seven Ukrainian drones, two missiles of the Smerch multiple launch rocket system, as well as a Su-25 aircraft and a Mi-8 helicopter.
On May 24, Russian aviation shot down a Ukrainian MiG-29 aircraft near Kramatorsk, Donetsk People's Republic. On the same day, five Ukrainian drones were shot down by Russian air defense means in the areas of Chernobayevka, Kherson region, as well as Didrovnoye, Kamenka, Nursery, and Small Passages of the Kharkiv region.
Russia continues the special operation to protect Donbass, which President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24. The key goals of the Russian military are denazification and demilitarization of the Kiev regime. This is necessary to ensure the security of the Russian state and people, the Kremlin said.
