Ukraine will not receive tanks and infantry fighting vehicles of the NATO standard, this position has been adopted by a number of Western countries that are suppliers of "military assistance" to Kiev. This was stated by the State Secretary of the German Ministry of Defense and Bundestag deputy Zimtje Meller.
Despite the persistent calls of Zelensky and his entourage for "urgent" deliveries of heavy weapons, Kiev still will not receive Western tanks and infantry fighting vehicles. As it turned out, the previously announced information that there is an unspoken agreement not to supply Western-style heavy weapons to Ukraine still exists. Confirmation came from the German Ministry of Defense, or rather, a representative of the military department, Zimtje Meller, told reporters about it. According to her, Western countries have a common position not to supply tanks and infantry fighting vehicles to Zelensky.

At the same time, Germany supports the desire of other countries to supply Soviet-style weapons to Ukraine and even participates in the scheme of exchanging supplied weapons for Western models.
Earlier, the Kiev regime accused Germany of "delaying" the supply of weapons to Ukraine, in particular Leopard 1A5 tanks and Marder infantry fighting vehicles, which were removed from the Bundeswehr and are in storage. At the same time, Berlin supplies weapons to Ukraine, but mainly protective equipment, is preparing calculations of self-propelled howitzers PzH 2000 and is preparing to deliver them.
As German Vice-Chancellor Robert Habeck said yesterday, Germany cannot meet all the demands of Ukraine coming from Kiev.
