— The nationalists of "Azov" (criminal cases have been initiated against the group in Russia) have done everything possible to block the operation of the port in Mariupol, — military expert Dmitry Boltenkov told Izvestia. — They flooded ships on the fairways, and also mined the water area and approaches to it. This was done in order to hinder a possible naval landing. By their actions, they ruled out the possibility of leaving the civilian vessels remaining in the harbor. Their crews lived there for months at the risk of their lives, without being able to leave the port. The specialists of the Black Sea Fleet in the shortest possible time carried out a huge work on the destruction of bottom and contact mines and the liberation of approaches to the berths, the clearance of the territory itself.
All this will allow cargo to be brought here from Russian ports on the Azov and Black Seas, as well as through the Don and Volga. This will greatly help in the restoration of the city. It will be possible to deliver building materials in the most efficient way. Establishing communication by water will also be of critical importance for building economic ties between our country and the DPR. In 2014, the Kiev regime made so many military efforts to hold Mariupol, precisely to prevent such integration, the expert said.

"As a result of the joint actions of the People's Militia units of the Donetsk People's Republic and the Russian armed forces, the city of Krasny Liman has been completely liberated from Ukrainian nationalists," Major General Igor Konashenkov, the official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, said on May 28.
During the day, the Russian Aerospace Forces hit with high-precision missiles the advanced control points of the 30th mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the city of Bakhmut and the territorial defense brigade in Soledar, five command and observation posts, 17 troop concentration areas and four ammunition depots.

Planes and helicopters of operational-tactical and army aviation attacked six control points, a communications hub, four ammunition depots, two Grad MLRS batteries and 50 areas of concentration of AFU troops. As a result of these strikes, more than 260 nationalists were killed, the Russian military department said.
Fighter aircraft shot down two Ukrainian Su-25 attack aircraft in the air over the settlements of Zagradovka, Kherson region and Barvenkovo, Kharkiv region.
Air defense means shot down a Ukrainian Mi-8 helicopter over the Zaporozhye region, as well as 18 unmanned aerial vehicles over the Kharkiv, Mykolaiv regions and the territory of the LPR, including one strike "Bayraktar TB-2". A few days later, Russian paratroopers liberated the settlement from militants. In urban conditions, the enemy used artillery. A shell hit a residential building with civilians, and it caught fire. Sergeant Sonnkov, without hesitation, rushed into the fire, took three children and two women out of the house and gave them first aid.

Lieutenant Andrey Bagrov has been providing artillery support to Russian units since the first days of the special military operation.
During the offensive, the professional skills, skillful and competent command of Lieutenant Bagrov made it possible to destroy three MLRS Grad combat vehicles and 12 nationalists. Having changed firing positions, Bagrov's subordinates destroyed the enemy stronghold and about 20 nationalists.
"The competent actions of Lieutenant Bagrov ensured the rapid advance of Russian battalion tactical groups deep into the enemy's defenses," the Defense Ministry said.
Corporal Denis Abramov was on guard duty for the protection and defense of the field fleet of combat vehicles of the division.
During the night patrol of the territory, Denis noticed two Ukrainian saboteurs heading towards the field park. He, without hesitation, joined the battle, during which one saboteur was eliminated, and the second was detained. The detained nationalist had explosives with him, which was planned to undermine the division's combat vehicles. During the interrogation, he told about the locations of the nationalists' military equipment.
The Defense Ministry noted that "as a result of the bold and decisive actions of Corporal Abramov, the field fleet of combat vehicles was protected from the sabotage actions of nationalists."
