The Russian aviation destroyed the electronic intelligence center in the Mykolaiv region. This was announced on Thursday, May 26, by the official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, Major General Igor Konashenkov.
"In the area of the Dneprovskoye settlement of the Mykolaiv region, the Ukrainian electronic intelligence center was destroyed, including 11 military personnel of the combat crew, as well as 15 foreign specialists of engineering and operational personnel who arrived with protection," he said.
Konashenkov also explained that during the day, high-precision missiles hit 48 areas of concentration of manpower and military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and two artillery batteries.
In addition, Russian troops destroyed two ammunition depots in the areas of Nikolaevka and Berestove in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). The Major General also added that the Ukrainian launcher of the Osa-AKM anti-aircraft missile system was destroyed by Russian troops in the area of Nikolaevka.
A day earlier, the Russian Armed Forces destroyed the production workshops of the Motor Sich plant in Zaporozhye, which produced aircraft engines for the AFU combat aviation, including drones. On May 24, Russian aviation destroyed a large APU warehouse in Razdolovka, where shells for American M-777 howitzers were stored.
On February 24, Russia launched a special operation to protect Donbass. Moscow explained that the tasks of the special operation include the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, the implementation of which is necessary to ensure the security of Russia. The decision was made against the background of aggravation in the region as a result of shelling by the Ukrainian military.
