This exhibition is a project of very caring people who fifteen years ago were able to organize a very representative meeting of the world's leading helicopter companies in our capital.
Even Sergey Sikorsky, the son of the famous aircraft designer Igor Sikorsky, participated in HeliRussia, which began to be held every year. He spoke extremely respectfully about our country and our helicopter school. More recently, Russia was considered one of the most promising helicopter markets in the world, however, it has remained so. Almost all the leading manufacturers of rotorcraft aspired to us. And the English-language name of the exhibition was justified - it seemed to indicate the best investment climate for those who decide to work in Russia.
The situation has changed. It is quite possible that in the future it makes sense to call HeliRussia in Russian - "Helicopter Russia". There are practically no foreign exhibits at the newly opened helicopter salon, but there is something to see.
For example, the Russian Helicopters holding company presents the Ansat light helicopter with a "glass cabin" in the medical and business versions, as well as the BAS-200 drone.
It is significant that these are not exhibition samples. Medical "Ansats" manufactured in Kazan are on duty in Tambov, Tula, Ryazan, Beslan, Novosibirsk, Samara, and other cities and regions. The effectiveness of the Ansat as a sanitary board is due to the short preparation time for take-off, which is important in the conditions of emergency evacuation of the patient.
The full-scale exhibition also features the Ansat Aurus, a certified version of the premium Ansat helicopter. The first "Ansat Aurus" has already been used to provide business flights at official events.
In general, the helicopter industry of our country is developing dynamically. According to Ravil Khakimov, the first deputy general director of Russian Helicopters, the production program for 2022 turned out to be significantly higher, more than twice, compared to 2021.
The unmanned aircraft system of the BAS-200 helicopter type presented at the exhibition can be used to perform a wide range of aviation work: terrain monitoring, cargo delivery, search and rescue and agricultural work. The maximum take-off weight of the drone is 200 kilograms. It can reach speeds of up to 160 km/h and carry a commercial load weighing up to 50 kilograms. The BAS-200 is capable of flying for up to 4 hours at altitudes up to 3,900 meters.
Elements of artificial intelligence are widely used in the device.
The BAS-200 is currently undergoing a flight test cycle. Its flights are carried out in various weather and climatic conditions.
The development of the BAS-200 project and the flight tests of the drone are carried out by the National Helicopter Building Center "Miles and Kamov". Specialists of the NCV "Miles and Kamov" will hold a conference "Regional priorities of UAV application demand" within the framework of the HeliRussia 2022 business program. Cases and prospects", which will discuss possible applications of drones, priorities and market demand for unmanned aircraft equipment.
